Señorío de Montanera 100% Iberian organic acorn-fed ham from an organic breeding, with a diet based on 100% natural resources that help preserve the environment and the health of Iberian pigs.
Organic pure Iberian pigs are raised in pastures certified as organic farms, where they are fed with natural and organic feed before entering the montanera, when they will only consume acorns and natural resources of the dehesa. Its elaboration is 100% natural, without additives or artificial preservatives; which entails a much more exhaustive and artisanal care than traditional Iberian products. The Señorío de Montanera 100% Iberian organic acorn-fed ham has long aging in natural cellars excavated in rock, achieves a slow and leisurely curing; refining the nuances of its aroma and flavor.
When cut, color is slightly darker, as a result of the absence of nitrites in its preparation. Its flavor is soft and natural, with perfect balance between tasty and sweet (never salty), full of nuances that evoke the purest pasture of Extremadura.
The piece has three different seals: the one belonging to the Iberian quality standard that identifies the piece as 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham, the Señorío de Montanera own to control its traceability, and the third with the organic food logo certified by the European Union.
